Traditional oil shale conference in Ida-Viru County initiates

the oil shale industry to bring together different stakeholders –

scientists, entrepreneurs, policy makers, engineers and others –

to discuss actual topics.

 

The Conference main topics are circular economy and innovative solutions in oil shale industry.

 

We are waiting for researchers and industry experts to share

the latest developments in oil shale studies, technologies and projects.

 

Oil Shale Competence Center welcomes your presentation topics for oral or poster presentations.

 

The submission period of presentation abstracts is June 1 – July 31, 2017.

The submitted topics will be confirmed by August 18, 2017.

The submission period of presentation thesis is 15th September, 2017.

Final Conference shedule will be approved and published at 5th October, 2017.

The Conference participants will have a unique opportunity to visit on the first day regional oil shale enterprises –

Auvere power plant and Enefit280 oil factory (Eesti Energia AS, Enefit Energiatootmine AS),

Petroter oil factory and mining (Viru Keemia Grupp AS) and shale quarry (Kiviõli Keemiatööstuse OÜ).

 

Conference is free of charge.

 



Oil Shale Competence Centre (OSCC) is a structural unit of Virumaa College of Tallinn University of Technology (TTU). It was

established in 2011 in the eastern part of Estonia in industrial town Kohtla-Jarve.

 

Oil shale conferences arranged by OSCC in collaboration with Virumaa College every year since 2009

are focused on actual topics as innovation, history, environmental issues,

assessment and regulation, cooperation, education and sustainable technology.
